OpenAI sent an internal memo to former employees of the company on Thursdayplaygamesforfreecrypto, canceled the clause in their separation agreement not to slander OpenAIplaygamesforfreecrypto, otherwise the vested equity clause will be lost.

The company sent the memo to every former employee, saying that when they left OpenAI,"you may have been told that you were required to implement a general release agreement that included a non-disparaging clause to retain a vested stake."

"Whether or not you implement the agreement, we write to inform you that OpenAI has not cancelled and will not cancel any vested interests."

The memorandum stated that OpenAI will not enforce any other non-disparaging or pro-solicitation terms that the employee may sign.

"As we have shared with employees, we are making important updates to the departure process," an OpenAI spokesperson said in a statement.

The spokesperson said: "We have not and will never deprive vested equity, even if people have not signed resignation documents. We will remove the non-disparaging clause from standard separation documents, and we will exempt former employees from existing non-disparaging obligations unless the non-disparaging clause is mutual,"adding that former employees will also be informed of this.

An OpenAI spokesperson also said: "We're very sorry that we haven't changed this terminology until now; it doesn't reflect our values or the company we want to be."
